As the President of the Asian Fistball Association (AFA), it is my great pleasure to represent AFA in a meeting with the President of the International Fistball Association (IFA) that lasted over three hours. We discussed various aspects of fistball. Jörn Verleger has been working in IFA for over 10 years and has been serving as IFA President since 2019. He led the World Fistball Federation. He not only supported the establishment of the Hong Kong Faustball but also the founding of the Asian Fistball Association in 2021. There is no doubt about his significant contribution to the development of world fistball, especially in Asia.
The AFA Honor Award is the highest honor for individuals who have made outstanding contributions to fistball development. In 2025, IFA President Jörn Verleger receive our highest honor award with unanimous agree by AFA executive board members. T. Bala Vinayakam (India) and CHENG Zhun Him (Hong Kong, China) also receive the award, recognizing and praising their contributions to fistball development.
